I'm terrified I'm going bald
Reviewer: Susan A Fisher , 2010-06-22

I need tips! My hair is falling out. Part is bigger by the day. Scalp is showing unless I comb it a certain way--I'm female, by the way. The side hair is breaking off midway down the shaft. I had a heart stent 6 mo ago and am taking Plavix. Dr won't change the med (I understand why), but I need help with even more hair tips than I find here (I saw dr and had bloodwork, all normal results, including thyroid).

i have some tips for hair loss
Reviewer: Jennifer M. , 2009-12-29

I have very thin hair, and when I comb after my morning shower, I always lose some hair. I have found that taking a daily vitamin rich in keratin helps, as well as switching hair products once per week, brushing before you wash, and scalp massage. The best products I have found are: Mane&Tail, Suave Professional, and Finesse.

It's in the petroleum!
Reviewer: Carmen , 2009-03-05

Hello. Yes, it's true about the Romanian formula, I'm Romanian, but I've grown up in Canada. At first, I was really horrifed when I was told by all women in our family and friends to use petroleum to get lustrous, healthy. stong and stimulating growing hair. But I admit, it's uncredible the marvels it does to fine, thin, easily damageable fragile hair. A crucial tip, after the petroleum formula, rinse hair with vinegar or water-diluted vinegar for gorgeous shine, balanced scalp, also it kicks out the petroleum smell. Don't be afraid of the "petroleum" word, I'm not a scientist, so I don't know why, but damn it works amazingly !

LOVE YOUR HAIR PT.2

When I was younger,I had the thickest head of hair.As I got older,my hair is not so thick anymore.I have tried hundreds of different products, trying to find the best for having just a healthy, shinny head of hair, here is my advice to you.Coloring your hair is very damaging,it weakens the root of the hair, therefore making it easier for the hair to fall out.Try not coloring at all,but if you must, try only doing it once every three or more months.Find a color thats not so drastic from your natural color and stick with that. When it grows out you wont notice the roots so much. Also, dark hair ALWAYS tends to look thicker, shinnier and healthier.KEEP YOUR HAIR TRIMMED!! This is very important, for maintaining healthy hair, especially thin hair.Thin hair has a tendency to get split ends easier and faster than regular hair, causing it to look scraggly and unhealthy.Stay away from shampoos, conditioners and styling products that contain alcohol.Alcohol dries your hair out, leaving it dull, brittle and unhealthy.Ufortunatley, most store bought hair products do contain alcohol, even the expensive ones.Try using an all natural or organic product instead. You can find them in Sallys Beauty Supply.Im sure that there are other places to buy these products, but thats where I get mine from.Always condition your hair when you wash it.It does not hurt to leave conditioner on your hair for 30 or more minutes. If your hair is thin, try avoiding conditioner and buy a spray or a cream leave in conditioner.Heavy conditioners for thin hair will leave it limp and lifeless.Massage your scalp, this stimulates the root and hair growth, believe it or not.Remember, the answer to healthy, thick, beautiful hair is not what you can buy for hair loss. The answer is having a clean, unclogged, stimulated scalp and shampoos, conditioners and other products containing good, healthy vitamins and ingredients that will keep the hair soft, shinny and healthy.LOVE YOUR HAIR!!!!!

Sort of a tip
Reviewer: Klaire , Virginia , 47 years , 2006-07-18

Hi, I've been tried different shampoos and stuff for my hair, which is not in a good shape and, even so, I'm afraid I'll loose it, too. Anyway, I've found some sort of traditional Romanian formula, is made of alcohol, vitamins and petroleum (yes!) and it's smells horrible, but, after 1 months, I can say my hair is in a much better shape and, most essential, there are much, much less hair lost during a day. No signs of new hair, yet, but I hope soon
